West Chester Hospital is offering free prostate screenings for men age 50 and older on Saturday, February 25, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer found in American men, and is the second leading cause of cancer death in men according to the American Cancer Society (ACS). Beginning at age 50 unless they fall into a higher risk group, such as African American men, who should begin testing at age 45, or men with a family history of prostate cancer, who should begin receiving  annual exams at age 40.

Reservations for the free prostate screenings are required and space is limited. Men interested in receiving their free prostate screening test should call (513) 298-FAST (3278) by Thursday, February 23, to set up an appointment. A physician order is not required for this exam.
