Today we pause to remember the incredible sacrifice of those who have gone before to attain and preserve the liberty we’ve been given.
Those brave men and women considered what freedom was worth and determined the price with their life.
Never has a Nation paid so much for the precious gift of liberty. From this payment stories of great valor, victories and defeats are told, and will be told for generations. But the quiet gift of their sacrifice, the stories untold, is the greatest story yet.
From the early farm houses of colonial America to the shores of distant lands, America has been the light of liberty that has shone in every dark corner of the world. Its foundation is liberty but its building blocks are the passion and sacrifice of its patriots.
On this Memorial Day, may God bless those who serve and have served and may God give each of us the strength and passion to love this gift of liberty and reflect that love through our own sacrifice for it.
