T.I. has had a run-in with the law once again. The King of the South and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle have been arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Tip and Tiny while they were driving in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 1). After officers smelled marijuana in the vehicle, the couple was taken into custody in West Hollywood, Calif. They remained in custody as of press time and are scheduled to make an appearance at the Beverly Hills Municipal Court on Friday. Bail was set at $10,000.
The Atlanta MC is currently on probation after pleading guilty to weapons charges. He served seven months behind bars at a Federal Correction Institution in Arkansas last year.
T.I. and Tiny were married on July 30 and the rapper-turned-actor is fresh off the success of his film Takers, which debuted at No. 1 over the weekend.
