The bootie obsession has taken over the Universe. Nike has released a new ad campaign for their butt enhancing line of women’s sneakers, but will their ode to ample cakes have women moving backwards?

WTH?! A space heater? The letter “C”? These are just a few of the adjectives used by the Nike “My Butt Is Big” Nike ad campaign to describe voluptuous cakes. After reading this stuff we don’t know why anyone would bother walking their big booties off. Maybe they should preserve their cakes and use them for evil to make skinny women feel like they should be herded to hell by a Border Collie or pay more for the same cheap stuff. That’s it! Henceforth, big butts will be used to banish all flattycakes from the nation for being unable to make men hail to the “embassador”!

It looks like Kanye West’s stop by Facebook earlier this week wasn’t a random thing. The rapper is actually making his rounds in a tour of Silicon Valley.

His latest stop was at Twitter’s offices, who might’ve helped persuade him into joining on Wednesday (July 28).

As of press time, Kanye had over 210,000 followers. You can follow him @KanyeWest.

His stop at Twitter, like Facebook, included a mini-performance for employees of his upcoming, as-yet-titled album.

It’s definitely a unique way to promote new music, wouldn’t you say?

Eminem’s Recovery moved another 187,200 copies. Meanwhile, Officer Ricky’s Teflon Don debuted at number two with a total of 176,300 units scanned. To date, Recovery has sold 1,669,600 copies domestically.

The corrections officer turned rapper logged on to twitter to let the world know that he had the ”no.1 album in the country..”

Little did he know that the official numbers weren’t out yet and that Teflon Don was in fact #2. Still a strong standing but definitely not the #1 spot, which continued to be held by Eminem’s Recovery for the Fifth week in a row.

Is newly minted Miami Heat star LeBron James getting some heat from his old friend Jay-Z?

The Internet is popping with a report that the hip-hop magnate, who’s also a minority owner of the New Jersey Nets, is upset that James kept him out of the loop on his decision to join the Miami team.

The website Mediatakeout.com quotes an “EXTREMELY CREDIBLE insider” – the capital letters are meant to underscore the source’s supposed reliability – saying “Jay-Z felt disrespected that King James did not consult with him during the free agency process.”

And Gatecrasher got a similar take from a source in Jay-Z’s camp. “Jay never expected LeBron to sign with the Nets. He knew that no 25-year-old kid with James’ profile was going to spend years in Newark,” the source tells Gatecrasher. “But he’s pissed, or at least disappointed, that LeBron didn’t consult with him.”

Still, our source says, ”I don’t think it’s going to affect their friendship.”

According to Mediatakeout’s insider, James’ silent treatment made Jay-Z look bad with Nets’ management. While LeBron was making his decision, “he didn’t even take [Jay-Z's] calls. It made [Jay-Z] look like he couldn’t deliver to the Nets management,” the website’s source says. If Jay-Z could have landed a star player, “he could have been seen as a legitimate asset to the team,” the source said. “Now they see him as just dead weight.”

Perhaps, but our source points out that given Jay-Z’s minuscule $1 million investment in the Nets, the responsibility to put together a killer team doesn’t really lie with him.

“It’s not Jay’s team,” says the source. That dubious honor goes to Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, who paid $200 million for an 80% stake in the Nets.

Another NBA insider says Jay-Z’s real source of dissatisfaction should be Prokhorov. “The Nets have no basketball team,” the source says, saying that Prokhorov ”overpromoted and overmarketed” the team, but wasn’t able to deliver a player with genuine box-office appeal.

Jay-Z’s spokeswoman did not respond to our request for comment by deadline, and a spokesman for James declined to comment.

Ohio State University says former football star Maurice Clarett is back in school to pursue his degree after spending more than three years in prison. Ohio State spokesman Jim Lynch says in a statement that Clarett started classes on Monday after he was readmitted by the College of Education and Human Ecology, where he was originally enrolled. Clarett pleaded guilty in 2006 to aggravated robbery and carrying a concealed weapon, and served 3 1/2 years in a Toledo prison, where he took college-credit courses. The ex-football star says in a statement that it is a “surreal feeling to be back at Ohio State” and that he doesn’t want to be a “distraction or nuisance” to the team or other students.

As a freshman, Clarett scored the winning touchdown in the second overtime of the Fiesta Bowl against Miami to lead Ohio State to the 2002 national championship, the school’s first since 1968. But Clarett was suspended for the 2003 season because he was charged with falsifying a police report. He dropped out of school, then sued unsuccessfully to be included in the 2004 NFL draft. He was a surprise third-round pick in the 2005 draft but was cut by the Denver Broncos during the preseason.

On Aug. 9, 2006, police noticed Clarett’s SUV driving erratically. A highway chase ensued, ending when police spiked Clarett’s tires, sending his vehicle limping into a restaurant parking lot. Officers said they could not easily subdue Clarett because the bulletproof vest he was wearing thwarted their stun guns. It took several police using pepper spray to get the 6-foot, 245-pounder into handcuffs.

Good for him. Hopefully those three years have had an effect on his mentality because apparently he was on that bullsh*t ‘thug mentality’ foolishness before.

Superstar tennis player, Serena Williams fresh off her break up with rapper Common and singer Christina Milian,on the mend from her marriage ending to The-Dream went out for a much needed good time together Monday (July 26).

The two beauties were spotted at Madeo restaurant in Beverly Hills, California enjoying a girls night out.

Serena was sporting braces on her wrist and foot, but looked great nonetheless.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s “Inception” won the weekend box office battle to stay on top, despite the release of Angelina Jolie’s new action-thriller “Salt”.

“Inception” remained at #1 for the second-straight weekend with $43.5 million, according to studio estimates. That brings its 10-day total to $143.7 million.

In at #2 was Jolie’s spy caper “Salt”, raking in $36.5 million. The movie stars Jolie as a CIA operative who goes rogue after she’s accused of being a Russian sleeper agent.

Coming in at #3 with $24.1 million was Steve Carell’s family hit “Despicable Me.” The animated comedy raised its domestic total to $161.7 million.

“The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” dropped one spot to #4 with $9.6 million, while “Toy Story 3″ rounds out the top 5 with $9.

The weekend’s other new wide release, the family comedy “Ramona and Beezus,” took in $8 million to finish at #6. The movie is based on Beverly Cleary’s children’s books about a teenage girl and her accident-prone little sister.

That wraps things up this weekend. Next weekend, look out for the release of the the family film “Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore”, the Zac Efron drama “Charlie St. Cloud,” and Steve Carell’s “Dinner for Schmucks.”

The announcement was made within the last hour as executive producers of the show Barbara Walters and Bill Goodie also revealed that Obama’s appearance marks the first time a sitting U.S. president has visited a daytime talk show.

So what will President Barack Obama discuss with co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Beha, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd? The majority of the hour-long segment will be devoted to President Barack Obama and he plans to discuss in detail issues surrounding jobs, the economy, the highly publicized and ultimately disastrous Gulf oil spill and even family life inside the White House.

A homeless man allegedly broke into a California bar and served drinks to unsuspecting patrons all weekend — before police came calling.

The bar, called the Valencia Club, had gone out of business for some time and its liquor license had expired, police said this week.

But the suspect, Travis Lloyd Kevie, 29, somehow got into the California establishment in the Penryn area of Sacramento Valley last week. He reopened the bar using beer he bought from a nearby store.

Kevie allegedly started with a six-pack of beer and used money he received to buy more alcohol.

He kept the bar open for a weekend serving about 30 customers a day, authorities said.

He was so successful that a local newspaper did a story about the bar reopening.

“A local newspaper report alerted a Placer County Sheriff’s Office Detective of a possible ongoing crime being committed in the Penryn area,” the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said. “As Detective Jim Hudson read the morning newspaper, he recognized an individual pictured on the front page as a local transient who has had numerous contact with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.”

A detective went to the bar to determine if Kevie had obtained a liquor license.

“When Detective Hudson arrived at the Valencia Club, it was open for business with customers bellied up to the bar. Upon questioning Kevie Detective Hudson determined that he had no connection to the property and he did not have a liquor license,” the department said.

Kevie was arrested Tuesday and charged with burglary and selling liquor without a license.
A large amount of alcohol and cash was also confiscated from the bar.

The newspaper, the Auburn Journal, that ran the story about the about the new “bar owner” reported that Kevie was arraigned on a single misdemeanor charge Thursday and ordered released from jail.

Kid Cudi had another incident with a fan last night at the Ohio Homecoming Concert in Cleveland. A drunken fan rushed the stage during Cudi’s performance before quickly being taken off the stage. The incident was far from over however as Cudi then jumped off the stage to confront his stage-crasher. You may remember that it was just back in December during a concert stop in Vancouver where Kid Cudi jumped into the audience to confront another fan he obviously felt was being disrespectful.
