A family tribute to the late King of Pop just wouldn’t be complete without his baby sister right? Well, that’s true – in part. There isn’t exactly going to be a family-oriented tribute, but of course the one we’re referring to is the big show scheduled to take the stage in Wales on October 8th. Although the mega-event has been touted as a phenomenal production to honor the life and legacy of Michael Jackson, the show coincidently falls in the early days of the trial for the Conrad Murray, who has been charged in the King of Pop’s untimely death.
Janet Jackson has no plans to attend the show because the trial in her opinion is a bit more important. In fact, other members of the Jackson family – namely Jermaine and Randy – have also confirmed they will not be in attendance and will instead be onsite for opening statements for the trial which is set to begin in just a few days on September 27th.
Do you think this is a smart move for Janet and her brothers? Which one do you think will get more attention in the press? Should the family have to split their decision to attend the trial or the tribute?
