This morning Alfredas sat down with Phife Dawg of the legendary group A Tribe Called Quest and actor/director Michael Rapaport to discuss the lives of the influential pioneers. Forget what you heard the documentary Beat, Rhymes & Life- The travels of A Tribe Called Questwill be released. Its true the hip hop trio had their issues with the film and how they were portrayed. Phife explained “I was skeptical of putting my business out there”. But in the end they came to terms with it. Though Q-Tip put the film on blast and was the only member not present during the L.A. Film Festival premiere screening. The documentary is now filtering across the U.S. and coming to a city near you.
