*Jennifer Lopez will see her ex-boyfriend next month when Sean “Diddy” Combs arrives on the set of “American Idol.”

The mogul will take over the April 18 broadcast of the FOX reality singing competition to perform his latest single, “Coming Home,” as well as mentor the contestants in the ways of “swagger,” courtesy of his signature clothing line, Sean John.

“I’m helping [the contestants] with their styles. I’m helping to kind of dress them with Sean John,” Diddy tells “Access Hollywood” in an interview on the set of CBS’ “Hawaii Five-0,” in Oahu, where he was filming a guest spot. [See photo below.] “I’m bringing a celebrity stylist to help us this week. We’re going try to get them to have that superstar shine and swagger that I try to exude on a daily basis.

“I’m going to hit ‘em with some musical tips, some inspiration, some motivation, and then I’m gonna show ‘em how to do it,” he added. “I’m going to hit that stage after I show ‘em how to have that swagger.”

Appearing on “Idol” will bring him face-to-face with his former flame and current judge, Jennifer Lopez, but Diddy said he’s got nothing but love for the singer.

“First of all she’s just looking so good!” Diddy said of his ex. “You’ve got to give it to her for having twins and to be doing it how she’s doing it. I’m so proud of her.”

Diddy also raved about J.Lo’s judging style, revealing that her loving critiques have brought the streetwise rapper to tears… twice!

“The way [Jennifer] handled coming after Simon, and even myself from ‘Making the Band,’ and the way we were hard coaches — she’s been like, a compassionate person,” Diddy told Maria. “She has made me cry like, twice, and she’s looked good doing it. And she has made sense so, you know, I’m proud of her.

“She’s a nice person so, you know, when you’re super nice, your emotions get the best of you,” he continued. “It’s good though — it’s good to see that change in the competitive shows. I think she’s very refreshing.”
