There’s a few things happening on this week’s Billboard charts. While rockers Godsmack took the top albums slot, Eminem killed the Digital Songs chart with his newest song, “Not Afraid.”

“Not Afraid” debuts at no. 1 on the Digital Songs chart, selling 379,000 downloads — the best sales week for a single this calendar year. Thanks to the strong digital sales, he’s debuting at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart as well. It’s just the 16th time the feat has been achieved in the sales/airplay-hybrid chart’s nearly 52-year history, according to Billboard.com.

As far as album sales, last week’s no. 1, B.o.B’s The Adventures of Bobby Ray fell all the way to no. 12 this week with 36,000. It’s the first album to fall from top slot to outside the top 10 so far this year.

At no. 6 is rock band, the Deftones who returns with Diamond Eyes, selling 62,000 copies. Their last album was 2006’s Saturday Night Wrist, which opened at no. 10 with 76,000.

Toni Braxton entered the charts at no. 9 this week with her new album, Pulse, selling 54,000 copies. It’s his first new album since’s 2005’s Libra, which debuted at no. 4. This new album is the singer’s fifth top 10 album.

Usher’s Raymond v Raymond closes out the top 10, slipping four slots with 51,000 sold.

Trina’s new album, Amazin’, debuts on the charts at no. 13 with 32,000 copies sold; while Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s reunion album, Uni5: The World’s Enemy, opens at no. 14 with 30,000.

Much later down the charts is 8Ball & MJG’s latest, Ten Toes Down, debuting at no. 36 with 16,000 copies sold; and Flying Lotus’ Cosmogramma charts at no. 87 with 6,800 copies.

According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending May 9) totaled 6.07 million units, up 11% compared to the sum last week (5.46 million) and down 7% compared to the comparable sales week of 2009 (6.50 million).
