A Miami woman, who works at a popular Hallandale Beach strip joint and who misled her husband about her whereabouts while bar hopping with another man, was charged for sending police on a wild goose chase.
After talking with Miami detectives late Thursday, Karla Vasquez, 32, was arrested and charged with the false report of a commission of a crime.
According to her arrest affidavit, Vasquez “deliberately caused her husband to call the police and report a kidnapping.”
Vasquez’s early Thursday morning plan to mislead her husband Daniel Pacheco created a media stir and sent police scrambling in search of a woman they believed could be in harm’s way.
