Dwight Howard found himself in a sticky situation.

During Saturday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta forward Paul Millsap received the ball from an official to take a free throw. But he immediately threw it back  because it was covered in a weird substance.

“I’ve never felt the ball like that ever. It was sticky. It was like super glue or something was on there. I couldn’t get it off my hands. It was the weirdest thing ever,” ” Millsap  told  the Atlanta Journal-Constitution after the game.

Once he threw the ball back to the official, Monty McCutchen, it was determined to be stickum, a substance banned by the NBA, and a warning was issued to both benches. McCutchen made his way to the scorers table as Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff slyly slid in front of the can. Despite the attempt, McCutchen knew what he was hiding.

Dwight Howard had the weirdest reaction to the ordeal as he simply shrugged it off.

I don’t know why people are making a big deal out of it,I do it every game. It’s not a big deal. I ain’t tripping,” Howard told the Houston Chronicle.

Howard also mentioned that he had been using it for the past five years. The incident is under review by the NBA.
