Congrats to Nas is making history at Harvard in 2015. Nasir becomes the first rapper to receive the W.E.B. Du Bois Medal, Harvard’s highest honor in the field of African and African American Studies. That’s an huge accomplishment for him, I’m happy for him. He took to his instagram and said, “Historic night for the rap game. At the Hutchins Center Honors for the W. E. B. Du Bois Medal ceremony. This is a first for the Rap Game to receive this award but, definitely not the last. Thank you. #HarvardHistory.”
