Don’t let all of the talking that some of your favorite rappers do in their songs fool you about who’s really stacking paper. Like everything else, the truth WILL come to light. Forbes has released the 2015 Hip Hop Cash Kings list. Unlike the ‘Wealthist’ rappers list (how much they’re worth), this list is based off who is bringing in the most dough this year.
How The List Is Constructed:
“The Hip-Hop Cash Kings list tracks pretax earnings for acts whose work is primarily classified as hip-hop or rap. To form the list, we consider income from touring, record sales, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and other ventures. Management, agent and attorney fees are not deducted. Earnings are calculated from June 2014 to June 2015 and based on data from Pollstar, the RIAA and Nielsen SoundScan, and from interviews with numerous managers,lawyers, music executives and some of the artists themselves.”
