Earlier this month, when Capo of Chief Keef’s Glo Gang and Dillan Harris were gunned down in Chicago, Chief Keef vowed to give back to his community with a benefit concert via hologram. Though Keef couldn’t actually go to Chicago due to outstanding warrants to perform, he still wanted his presence to be felt in the city.

Organizers encouraged fans to donate money to benefit the families of 13-month-old Dillan Harris and Capo, whose real name is Marvin Carr.

He partnered with the Los Angeles–based company Hologram USA and was ready to rock the stage, but the good deed at Craze Fest was quickly shut down within minutes of it beginning.

The Chicago Tribune reports, “Police rushed toward the stage, turning the music off about 10:25 p.m. Shining flashlights, they ordered concertgoers to leave. Fans who gathered Saturday left the grounds in an orderly fashion, though disappointed.”

This isn’t the first time a Chief Keef hologram performance has been halted. Last week, a similar performance in Chicago was canceled after Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s staff deemed him an  “unacceptable role model” whose presence — even via hologram — wasn’t acceptable due to his legal issues.
