The “crossroads” were avoided for one Wyoming man when Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony saved him from diabetic shock, the NY Daily News reports.

The rapper witnessed the 24-year-old lose control of his car as he was traveling from Casper to Riverton, and was able to detect that the driver was in distress.

After feeding him fruit and chocolate, Layzie (real name Steven Howse) waited for the EMT to arrive. He also used his celebrity to help the man gain consciousness. Layzie says he’s happy the driver is alive and well — but don’t call him a hero.

“He didn’t know who anybody was, so I said, ‘Do you know Bone Thugs-n-Harmony?’ And he kinda woke up,” the 40-year-old rapper said. “He was like, ‘Yeah.’” Layzie then offered fruit and chocolate to the 24-year-old diabetic. “I’m not doing this interview to be no type of hero, like they put it,” he told the TV station K2TV. “I’m not that person. I genuinely care about people.”

The driver is doing well after his diabetic shock and so is Layzie. After assisting the man, he was able to make it to the group’s show in Riverton.
