Now, you might’ve thought the glamorous life was pretty much over for LisaRaye after hearing the news of the actress/model’s horrifying and controversial end to her marriage with Michael Misick, who was forced to resign as premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands last year amid assault and corruption allegations. But trust and believe this sexy sister hasn’t lost her swagger at all.
In fact, she’s back, better and beautiful as ever with her new series LisaRaye: The Real McCoy. Airing Thursdays at 9PM on TV One, The Real McCoy is already taking television by storm this season after the show’s first two episodes catapulted the series into TV One’s No. 1 spot for the first time in the network’s history. Then there’s local fan favorite BET’s TINY & TOYA. This season, we’ll see Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and her best friend Antonia “Toya” Carter continue making strides on their individual roads to self-improvement while balancing motherhood, family, fame and creating business empires on their own.
Last season, over 3 million viewers fell in love with the girls and helped the show take the number one spot for an original series premiere in BET history. TINY & TOYA continues to give viewers a bird’s eye view into all the glitz and glamour. The show also highlights their personal strength and commitment to staying true to oneself. BRANDY & RAY J: A FAMILY BUSINESS
Next comes VH1‘s new series featuring superstar siblings Brandy and Ray J Norwood both of whom are famous in R&B music for their incredible talent on the mic and on the screen. In the one-hour episode series, Brandy and Ray J continue to take on the entertainment world and adhere to the guidance of their parents Sonja and Willie Norwood, Sr.
Despite their success and the celebrity status, the Norwoods are a typical African American family, complete with feuds and comedy but most importantly lots of love. “A Family Business” is a show that will take an in depth and already hilarious look at Brandy, Ray J, Sonja and Willie behind the scenes. Every Sunday at 9:00PM we’ll tune in to see if this famous family has what it takes to stick together and still make great music. For all of you ladies out there searching for a good man, don’t feel bad if you don’t have one just yet because even celebrities are having a difficult finding the right one. That’s all that R&B music’s Chilli (of TLC) really wants in fact that’s the name of her new show “What Chilli Wants” airing Sundays at 10:30PM on VH1. Although she’s experienced huge success as an R&B recording artist and a mother, Chilli has grown tired of striking out on the romantic front, so she has enlisted the help of a few special celebrity friends and one relationship expert you’ll surely get a kick out of.
Along with the help of her friends, Chilli stretches beyond her comfort zone to take the reins of her romantic situation and launch an all out search for the love of her life. Will she find it? What are some celebrity men you think Chilli should try dating? She’s already dated, broken up with and even birthed a child with Atlanta producer Dallas Austin. We’ve watched Usher break her heart and confess it in his music a few years ago, but who should Chilli give her heart to next?
Sure you’ve heard the gossip and read the headlines, but Sunday nights on VH1 will also include the tales told by a new crew of divas better known as Basketball Wives. The ladies of Basketball Wives are all women who’ve become known in society as the wife or girlfriend of a professional basketball player or other famous athletes.
We’ll finally get a glimpse into the secret and unique lives of the women behind these men, and we’ll realize that it’s not just the players they’re married to, but also the game. If you’ve already been checking out their moves on Sundays at 10PM, we want to hear what you think of the drama that’s bound to happen sooner or later. Superstar athlete Shaquille O’Neal‘s ex-wife Shaunie O’Neal is the ringleader of the show.
