Ebony J Show:  Sunday Word – Stop Complaining!

Comments:  | Leave A Comment

Are you from the show me state? When you don’t see the future and things seem hard do you give up? Do you sometimes forget the power you have and get frustrated and complain about what God has given you? How strong is your faith? Stop complaining about what you don’t have and be grateful for what you do have and use it! We don’t deserve anything but God gives us everything. Stop waiting for people to give you everything and start taking and claiming what God has given you!

Scripture:

Joshua 17:14-18

New International Version (NIV)

14 The people of Joseph said to Joshua, “Why have you given us only one allotment and one portion for an inheritance? We are a numerous people, and the Lord has blessed us abundantly.”

15 “If you are so numerous,” Joshua answered, “and if the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go up into the forest and clear land for yourselves there in the land of the Perizzites and Rephaites.”

16 The people of Joseph replied, “The hill country is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites who live in the plain have chariots fitted with iron, both those in Beth Shan and its settlements and those in the Valley of Jezreel.”

17 But Joshua said to the tribes of Joseph—to Ephraim and Manasseh—“You are numerous and very powerful. You will have not only one allotment 18 but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.”

Testimony:

“Sometimes I feel discouraged and feel like I’m not enough because I feel I don’t have enough; without realizing all the things God has blessed me with!  I sometimes find myself complaining and asking Him for more. He gives us possession but WE CAN NOT allow the things we have to possess us! We must be grateful! The car, the money in are account, the career can be gone in the blink of an eye. Naked we came in this world, naked we shall leave!”

Prayer:

Dear Lord, Thank you for supplying all my needs even when I do not deserve it. I might not have everything I want but I am grateful for all the things you have blessed me with. Please help me to remain humble and use what you have given me to do your will.  Amen.
