Aaron Hernandez former New England Patriots tight end plead not guilty to murder on Wednesday at Suffolk Superior Court in downtown Boston.
He has been charged with the 2012 murders of Cape Verdean nationals Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
Charges are based on the testimony of a friend of Hernandez who prosecutors say was with him the night of the murders. Video surveillance footage of the area also played a factor in his pending charges.
