Dr. Bernice King had to witness her idolized father Dr. Martin Luther King face superimposed on a teen club’s party flier holding up gang signs while promoting the event “Freedom to Twerk.”. Dr. King stated “I feel like we have failed to reach these [groups]. This imagery thing is just appalling, and it’s almost embarrassing.”
