Sorry Lakers fans, Kobe Bryant is out for another six weeks, after suffering injury during Tuesday night’s (Dec. 17) win over the Memphis Grizzlies. According to ESPN.com, the NBA star suffered a fracture of the lateral tibial plateau in his left knee, and is expected to be out for six weeks. During the game Tuesday, fans may remember Kobe going down and clutching his knee, only to continue playing. Well, apparently, he played with the break. “It’s too bad,” coach Mike D’Antoni said at the team’s practice Thursday. “You hate it for Kobe. He worked so hard to get back. But he’ll be back. He’ll be back in six weeks, and we’ll deal with it and weather the storm until he gets back.” Kobe returned to action barely a week ago, after missing nearly eight months as he recovered from a torn Achilles.
