Thor earned $38.5 million in its second week to reign over this weekend’s box office to bring its domestic haul to $146.9 million. Malcolm D. Lee’s The Best Man Holiday opened strongly with $30.6 million. The romantic comedy, which features an ensemble cast of Morris Chestnut and Taye Diggs, debuted more than three times higher than 1999 original, The Best Man, which opened with $9 million. Last Vegas came in at #3 with $8.8 million, the animated Free Birds lands at #4 with $8.3 million, and Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa closes out the top 5 with $7.6 million.
