Kendrick Lamar led the list of nominees for the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards, and it was the Compton emcee who was the evening’s big winner — alongside Drake — when the show aired Tuesday night (October 15).

Going in with 14 noms, Kendrick walked away with five awards — including Lyricist of the Year, Album of the Year (good kid, m.A.A.d city), and MVP of the Year. Drizzy matched his peer with five, including Best Hip-Hop Video and Track of the Year, both for “Started From the Bottom.”

A$AP Rocky and Jay Z both earned two awards. The Harlem rapper took the Best Collabo for “F***in’ Problems” and Best Hip-Hop Style in a tie with Nicki Minaj; and Jay Z got the Best Live Performer and Hustler of the Year honors.
