Michael Jordan can still draw a crowd. Hundreds lined up Saturday afternoon to watch 2,000 guests who were invited to the retired basketball star’s wedding to model Yvette Prieto in Palm Beach, Florida.
50 year old Jordan, now the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, proposed over the Christmas holiday weekend in 2011. They applied for their wedding license in March at the Palm Beach County courthouse.
Security was super tight –they wouldn’t let anyone near the back of the church which is how #Michael Jordan & company entered.
On Friday afternoon, they were spotted attending their rehearsal at the Episcopal Church in Palm Beach called Bethesda-by-the Sea, the same church where Donald Trump was married to Melania in 2005.
Guests kicked it for their reception at the Bear’s Club golf course in Jupiter, Florida, which is just feet away from the basketball great’s HUGE Florida mansion that is 5,000 sq ft smaller than his wedding tent.
Jordan’s enormous home was deemed too small for the couple’s reception so he had to resort to erecting the tents, the size of three football fields, for the wedding revelers. Usher serenaded the couple, Charles acted a fool, and a ton of other celebs were in the building.
This is the second marriage for the Chicago Bulls legend. He and his first wife Juanita Vanoy divorced in 2006 after 17 years of marriage, and the couple have three grown children together.
