Its been one year since the murder of Trayvon Martin. The Florida teen would have turned 18yrs old February 5th. The world seemed to grieve for this young man for his killer claimed self-defense. While others believe it was a tragic end to racial profiling. From babies to the elderly, thousands shared photographs of themselves and others while supporting the “Hoodie” movement. Which was what the unarmed teen was wearing when he was slain. Unfortunately the bullets continue to spray. The murder rate is skyrocketing. Over the weekend another homicide occurred this time involving a teenager adding to the death toll. He, Justin Brown was a local senior in high school. With heavy hearts we want to acknowledge the loss of this young man and all of the victims who have passed on due to gun violence. We also want to plead with you to put the guns down and stop the senseless violence.
