Beyoncé has been keeping quiet about her lip-sync controversy, until maybe now.

The singer posted a photo of herself on Instagram this Saturday (January 26) wearing a t-shirt with the question, “Can I Live?” emblazoned across the chest. Many fans are now wondering just what she means by the suggestive statement.

Since a photo is worth a thousand words, the Internet has come up with nearly as many different meanings for the shot. Some say she’s looking for people to just leave her alone already. Can she just move on and get ready for the Super Bowl without having to worry about people talking behind her back?

Others say it pokes a little fun at lip-sync gate, asking whether or not she’ll actually be singing live during the half-time performance.

She might also just be a supportive wife, since the question is also the title of a Jay-Z song off his 1996 album, Reasonable Doubt. In other photos from Bey’s Super Bowl rehearsal she is also seen sporting a Brooklyn Nets tee shirt and hat, the basketball team Jay is part owner of.

Or maybe, just maybe, it’s just a really comfy sweatshirt. Only the finest cotton for Beyoncé.

While fans wrap their heads around this (supposedly) meaningful photo, Beyoncé is busy preparing for this Sunday’s Super Bowl half-time show. According to Us Weekly, the setlist will include a Destiny’s Child medley featuring hits like “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Survivor” and their latest single, “Nuclear.” Though Michelle Williams has claimed Destiny may not be reuniting for the big game.

In other photos from the rehearsal, Bey is seen showing off some of her signature moves including a certain “put a ring on it” gesture alongside a few other dancers. Watch her big performance this Sunday, February 3 on CBS.
