The RiRi Awards. The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards nominations are in and Rihanna and Drake lead the pack with 5 nods each. Rihanna is up for Video of The Year, in which she has two chances to win with “We Found Love” and her Drake duet “Take Care”, as well as Best Pop Video and Best Female Video. She is also nominated for Best Choreography, and Best Visual Effects for “Where Have You Been” (which had the ladies in our office practicing her dance moves for days) so we’re partial to RiRi winning this one! Drake was also nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video for “HYFR” with Lil Wayne, Best Male Video for “Take Care”, Best Art Direction for “Take Care” and Best Cinematography for “Take Care”. Other strong contenders include Katy Perry, who was last year’s big winner, who received four nominations. The show will air live from Los Angeles on September 7th, and will feature a performance from four-time VMA winner Alicia Keys, who will debut a new track at the award show. Do you really care?
