Rose underwent surgery to repair his left ACL on Saturday (May 12), and doctors say he’s expected to be out of commission for 8-12 months.

Rose tore his left ACL on April 28, during the first game of the Bulls’ Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against the Philadelphia 76ers. The team lost the series without Rose, making the Bulls just the fifth #1 seed to lose to an eighth seed.

The doctor’s rehabilitation estimates means Rose is likely to miss at least the first two months of next season, possibly the entire season if he doesn’t heal in time. or he could miss the entire season.

However, the Bulls said Rose was ready for rehabilitation.
